Black Student Dies At Ivy League College Frat Party

A Cornell University student from Brooklyn died after he was found unconscious on a couch at his frat house, authorities said yesterday.

George Desdunes, 19, a sophomore biology and society major at the upstate Ivy, was discovered at 7 a.m. Friday at the on-campus Sigma Alpha Epsilon house and pronounced dead at Cayuga Medical Center. Results of an autopsy conducted Saturday were not available.

Tompkins County Sheriff Ken Lansing said alcohol appeared to have been a factor.

Desdunes’ cousin Elijah Pyronneau, was shocked.

“He always walked with a smile on his face,” Pyronneau said. “Everything he did was spectacular.”

Desdunes’ best friend, Ignacio Naudon, described him as a good-hearted guy.
