Referee High 5 Vince Young

If you were watching Monday Night Football this week you might have noticed a very odd moment at the end of the game in which Titans quarterback Vince Young appeared to High Five referee Jerome Boger following their win over the Texans. It happened just after Vince took the final knee to end the game. I was about to turn the channel just as cameras caught a glimpse I had to TiVo replay it. All week, sports talkies have been speculating if this was a harmless moment or part of something more shady?

Yesterday the NFL came out with a statement saying it was the former and part of an official referee signal that Young misinterpreted into an invitation to high five. In the end the incident was dismissed as an “awkward moment.”

Hmm…what do you think?
