According to Billboard, Death Row CEO Lara Lavi has been granted a restraining order against Ontario-based company, New Solutions Group.

New Solutions Group was the company that financed the $18 million purchase of Death Row Records that was made earlier this year by WideAwake Entertainment.

“I have been very consistent in my message — I am determined to make Death Row about the artists, their music and their fans while staying grounded to assure the company’s future,” said a press statement made by Lavi. “Thus I am taking the necessary legal steps to ensure this outcome.”

Lavi is claiming that New Solutions Group attempted to rid her of her authority without any legal backing.

Aside from New Solutions Group Lavi will also be suing WideAwake Entertainment, the company she worked for when the Death Row Records purchase was made. Details regarding Lavi’s lawsuit against WideAwake Entertainment are still unclear.
