Let me start this post off like this there is two things I would like to see for this performance.

1) Tight security because Lil Mama will be in town. I give all proper authorities the permission to taser her if she comes within 5 miles of the stadium.

2) I’m not going to get into this one but it’s just a fantasy of mine that includes Alicia Keys and a wardrobe malfunction. (Pardon me Swiss)

Know doubt it will be a big night for hip hop. The New York Yankees have been blasting Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” during their playoff run. Now, the team is having the rap king perform the song live to kick off Game 1 of the World Series.

Jay-Z and fellow New Yorker Alicia Keys are set to perform the hit on Wednesday, as the Yankees take on defending World Series champs, the Philadelphia Phillies.

In an interview Monday, Jay-Z was excited about the performance, and said: “Thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee.”

He also calls the opportunity a “once in a lifetime experience.”
