The Canon BG-E5 Battery Grip has been launched alongside the Canon EOS 450D. Slotting into the battery bay, it is able to take 6 AA batteries or two of the 450D’s new LP-E5 batteries. It provides a shutter button and control dial along with AE/FE Lock, exposure compensation and AF point selection buttons in a vertical orientation. The Canon BG-E5 offers creative flexibility by providing a stable grip for vertical as well as horizontal positions.
Customer Review: Good deal
I have decided to buy this product to mainly enhance the grip of my Canon XSI camera. as mentioned in the other reviews, the grip tottaly changes the feel and look of the camera, I can now hold the XSI more confident it wouldn’t slip out of my hand. In addition, the secondary shutter botton and controls makes it easier to shot in portrait mode. The only problem I had, I cant use my old carry case because of the size the grips add. Other than that it’s a good deal and a good add to the camera body.
Customer Review: Great Addition to Canon DSLR
Ordered this product from Amazon and love it!!! Adds more grip to the camera so it actually feels like to you holding on to something. The grip’s ability to hold two canon rechargable or 6 AA batteries is awsome. Great for when you are taking a lot of pictures. Anyone that has a Canon Rebel XS or XSi should get one of these.
